As a Senior Manager with Grant Thornton Limited, I have over 35 years of experience in consumer and corporate insolvency, as well as restructuring engagements. I help Albertans obtain relief from financial difficulties caused by life events, to obtain a financial fresh start.
I am a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Insolvency Restructuring Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner, Licensed Insolvency Trustee and Insolvency Counsellor in Grant Thornton’s Consumer Insolvency practice in Lethbridge, Alberta. I also service the cities, towns, villages and other communities located in Southern Alberta. My specialties include receiverships, liquidations, bankruptcies and legislated proposals.
Though my background is in agriculture, I have helped a number of small to medium sized businesses in a variety of industries with financial restructuring over the years. I have spent the last 20 years in the area of small, owner-managed business and consumer insolvency.
I believe in supporting not for profit organizations in my community. In the past and currently, I support a number of local charities and organizations with fundraising, professional expertise, and volunteer time. These charities include ones that deal with social welfare, childhood development, domestic violence and physical abuse reduction, poverty reduction, safe food supply, and financial literacy concerns.
I am a past Director and President of the Alberta Association of Insolvency Restructuring Professionals, past Director and Board Chair of the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta, past Director of the Canadian Insolvency Foundation, past Director and volunteer of Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta, current Director and volunteer with the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer with the CPA Financial Literacy program.
