Nova Scotia bankruptcy Q&A forum

Question:

can anyone got bankrupt? or do you guys decide that. i know there are always repayment options but if they make things just too tight and stretch out too long would it be quicker to start rebuilding my credit again by going through and filing for bankruptcy?

Answer:

Hi Chris, thank you for your question. You are able to file a bankruptcy if you have over $1,000 dollars of debt, reside or own property in Canada and if you are unable to meet your monthly obligations. The credit effect of a bankruptcy varies depending on the individual situation, we would be happy to determine if this option would work best for you through a free consultation. This would not obligate you to file a bankruptcy but would provide you with more detailed answers to your questions. Consultations can be booked through our toll free number 310-6060. Kaitlin
